Description
Lately in the scene, the catchier the hooks, the more scene points you get. I can say it until my lungs die, but it's getting old. There isn't much variety in the pop-punk genre lately. I was surprised when I popped in Phone Calls From Home's self titled EP though. Not only was it a fresh outlook on the genre, but it was catchy as hell.

Not much else can be said about the EP other than catchy though. It delivers exactly what it's supposed to at least without falling short. Each song quickly hits you wanting you to repeat it more than a few times. The opening track 'Coming Back To The World' has the potential to get them on the charts easily. I'd love you see them break through with it; it's a perfect summer track.

Most will ask; are they the new breakthrough band we've all been waiting for? The answer is simply no, they aren't. What they are though is a band with infectious hooks that will leave you wanting more. This can easily hit many people's top album lists. It has all the ingredients for a great pop-punk band. I highly recommend this to any fan of the genre. They don't stand out, but they'll be big. Mark my word on that.
