The amazing success of Alkaline Trio is by far the most surprising aspect of their career. They by far lack the success they deserve. After releasing five quality full length albums, and still manage to stay under the radar as much as they are is beyond me. I can guarantee one thing though, and that is, this band is about to get huge. Mark my word on that.

I can shamefully admit I've never dug deep into Alkaline Trio. I've never agreed with their style and thought it was just another band trying to cash into the next big thing. After realizing though how many albums they have produced made me question what the big deal was with this band. That's when I decided to try out 'Agony And Irony' for size. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of singles can come from this album. Over the past years I have yet to discover a band that can release an album without a single filler track. In other words, if you love singles, you'll love this album.

My recommendation is to pick this album up when it drops. I don't care if you have to find pennies in the couch, it's worth every cent. I also have to state that out of the year so far, this has made my album of the year. It's going to be tough to overtake it, but who knows. I'll still be spinning this for some time to come.
