Now this is something I can get behind – I must admit that I get giddy when some good, fast punkrock shows up here at Lucky13 HQ. It always seems to go un-noticed now with the way the kids are dressing and what they are listening to, but to us old folk remember when jeans and skate shoes was the uniform of choice and when epitaph and fatwreck ruled the country in quality fucking punk.

But now times have changed, and pissed-off punk bands have fallen by the wayside and coming across new records of the genre and getting difficult. Except if you live in New Jersey (I’d be pissed off too) as does Jumpstart’s One Win Choice, who apparently made the right decision to play punk as I remember it – loud and fast.

From start to finish we are assaulted with blazing guitars, charged lyrics and peppered with background screams and galloping drums – the perfect ingredients for a good time. But this is not sugar-coated pop-punk – these guys are pissed off and do not hesitate showing you their true colors.

Bottom line here is that we need MORE bands like One Win Choice PLEASE!! If you are currently playing in a punkrock band that is tight-as-fuck and meaningful like these boys are, send me your record!! I challenge you!
