Description
Evans Blue, The Pursuit Begins When This Portrayal Of Life Ends, It's akward, it's like a concept band that makes concept albums but doesn't know it. This band is like a Action movie with no plot (give me a second), on a dreary saturday you find yourself flipping through the channels and then you come accross some random action movie and what do you do you watch it and like it, amongst the lameness of a boring saturday afternoon you're taken away, you are suspended, lost, drawn in, imersed. Evans Blue is that movie that I've randomly come accross and enjoyed, when I pop in this cd I AM suspended, lost, drawn in, imersed, I feel like not only am I experiancing the music but that I'm inside of it, sumersed in the liquid. This album is very deep, (some would feel and say otherwise, some would say it's commercial, over produced, and obvious) it's a full effort, ever song feels like it was laid in rock, set in stone like nothing needs to be changed. I have to admit, I'm a bit gay for this band at the moment, sometimes the lyrics hit me in the right spot, sometimes the riffs make me wanna air guitar. I never heard of Evans Blue until recently, but I do imagine that this album will be in my constant rotation. I'm quite confused as to why this band hasn't "blown up" or reached the "masses" I suppose it's only a matter of time. The Pursuit Begins When This Portrayal Of Life Ends is a perfect title it makes you feel that there's a bigger idea behind this album rather than commercial success and getting laid (which is the trend).
